Message from Finder

We are new to the neighborhood and see this dog frequently when walking our dogs. He is very matted but seems friendly and sweet. We can’t figure out how/why nobody in the immediate area seems to be doing anything for him. Worried he belongs to someone and is being neglected. Any info would be helpful- considering trying to capture him so he can at least get groomed :(

I’ve called the Hendersonville Sheriff’s Department, animal cops twice about this poor animal. He’s been living in a drainage ditch for three years. I’ve tried to catch him. The sheriff’s department has told me two of them that there’s nothing they can do if they took the dog, he just get put down, and I know that’s bull crap because Brad who runs the shelter never puts dogs down unless they’re aggressive. He finds rescues for them to go to. Shame on the sheriff’s department for letting that poor dog suffer

He’s been around for quite awhile. He frequently walks through the EMS parking lot. Don’t know where he lives though.

Yes, he was limping a little today. This is my sighting- want to add we’ve seen this dog multiple times in the neighborhood while walking our dogs. We are new to the area and live over the ridge.

Is this the one that was limping?
