Before we start to rush around for evacuations, secure your animals. Your rushing spooks them and they was to hide or run. Secure them first then grab the other stuff. Not sure how many people have evacuation plans, but these days with fires and floods, would be a good thing to do. Give everyone a job, including your kids. That leads to feeling like you have some control of it and will not want to panic. Kids do panic. Please help them feel empowered during such times. I hope she finds her dog. Check with vets who have burn patients already. You may not recognize your dog or cat so call their name and see if they respond. I pray all are safe.
