Message from Owner

Fiona is one of our feather babies , her mate Shrek waits for her. She is very well loved and cared for. Her wings are not trimmed because we believe in allowing our parrots to have free range in our home with supervision. When I go to work Fiona and her mate and friends spend time together in their very large bird cndmnium (cage) until I arrive home. Yesterday she escaped her cage and flew out our door. Into the yard at the corner of Ocala and Bahama in Hayward. I thought Fiona would fly to me or at least to our other birds we brought out in their travel cage. She got spooked and flew off toward tall trees on Ocala possibly Tennyson between the block of Ocala and Portsmouth. Please if anyone finds her we will give a reward if she is returned to us.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19XBKUgWBE/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*

Lulu Peña thank you!! She is not a 100% trained at home. She will fly to my head or fly to my shoulder. If she knows it's time for bed or time to eat. We have 4 other parrots that share the same large cage. They love each other. And i'm hoping that she will hear them squatting and come home , I did put her cage in front of my house inside my yard with water. I chased her all over the neighborhood this morning on foot. She was definitely coming out to me, but I'm not ready to come home.

Sandra Lusch-Hernandez I hope she comes back to you! Our Amazon got out a couple weeks ago & came back home after a day. When you get home call out to her with pistachios . I will see if my husband can help bring her down today while you’re at work.

Last seen Sunday 9/6 8:15 am flying toward Naples in Hayward. 2 streets away from her home. I could hear her squawking to me. She spent the night in a huge avocado tree. I have chased her squawking all over the neighborhood back-and-forth from my street to Naples on foot , unfortunately , I have to go to work now. Any loud neighbors see her. Please contact me a s a p. I am willing to give a small reward for her safe return to me. I put her sleeping cage in our front yard, so hopefully she is hungry enought to return to safety.
