Check ALL shelters, even ones far outside our area. Unfortunately, people find a pup and will often take the pup to an out-of-area shelter bc they think it's a "better" shelter. And they lie about where the pup was found bc the shelter won't accept the animal if he/she was found outside of the shelter area. I've seen dogs found in Glendora taken to Pasadena Humane and dogs found in Pomona taken to Orange County shelter! They have good intentions but, don't realize this actually hinders owners from locating their pups. Also, search by dates not breed bcthe shelters aren't great at listing the correct breed ie: terriers listed as shepherds. So,check them all and check them regularly! 🐾❤️

Kary Flores If microchipped , call/go on website of microchip company and check if the chip has been scanned/reported. Also, report your fur baby missing and make sure the chip is registered and has correct/current contact info. **Post on the Neighbors by Ring app or ask someone to post for you. It's a free app available to everyone...you do not need to have a Ring camera. I've seen a lot of successful reunions on Ring! Also post on Nextdoor app and surrounding area local lost/found pet pages on FB 🐾♥️

Also check rescue groups bc there's a big problem.. finders keep calling rescue groups to take in found animals vs trying to find the owner or bringing to the animal shelter.
