Good morning all of our great neighbors. Maude remains on the loose. BUT, she has stayed close to home. She comes to our deck at night and eats. She also remains at the perimeter of our property, "herding" the deer in the back and the neighborhood kids across the street. She remains skittish and runs whenever I call to her. IF you see her, quietly approach and command her to stay or ask if she wants to go for a ride? She MAY come? We hope she will come back inside once the weather gets colder. We appreciate any and ALL help and reports of sitings that you have had. We ask that you do not feed her and to tell her to "go home" if nothing else. We have tried a friendly trap BUT, she got herself out of it:-( We will try again, once we have regained her trust. Again, MANY THANKS for all of you that have cared to keep an eye out for her AND have let us know. It is humbling to realize that the love of animals crosses all other divisions. That has given me lots of hope.

My husband drove by a small brown dog running around as if lost . Almost got hit by a car. He thinks maybe miniature collie . But don’t quote me on the breed. It’s on 31b by the abandoned boat. I’m not able to help the poor thing.

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…
