Put his litter box out with dirty litter and some worn clothes, gym clothes or something you've sweat in. The smellier the better. I live in a coyote infested area and my guy was gone for 3 days on the 3rd night I found him in our outdoor cat tree.

Look under everything, decks, sheds, stairs and bushes. Leave his blanket or worn clothing outside, and if possible leave a door or a window open. Talk to neighbors, check security cameras, and put up big, bright posters. Call, especially at night with a flashlight to see eyes.
