Message from Owner

Please help us find Niko 😭💔 He went missing during our move. He was still safely inside our old hse the night before, and we were supposed to pick up Niko and his brother Loki the next day to bring them to our new home. When we arrived, only Loki was there. We think Niko may have slipped outside while people were going in and out during the move. He has gotten out before but normally comes back within 5 minutes and waits at our front door. Unfortunately, we had already removed our Ring camera because of the move, so we don’t know if he came back and waited for us. He is a huge scaredy cat, so he may be hiding nearby. Please help us bring our baby home.

Tracy Utterbach Unfortunately, putting the Ring camera back up isn’t an option since the house belongs to someone else now. The new owners haven’t moved in yet, so the house is practically empty at the moment. 😭 We’re definitely going to keep checking the area daily and reaching out to the neighbors. Thank you so much for all the suggestions and for giving us some hope! ❤️

Maybe ask if you can put your ring camera back up so you can see if he comes to the door. Also, talking with the neighbors 10 houses in all directions is key. Ask if you can search their bushes and backyards. A kitty was just found after 40 days in our neighborhood… He was in a neighbors backyard seven houses down… A neighbor across the street saw him go in and out of that yard and that is how he was discovered. He probably would not have survived had that Neighbor across the street not been aware that the Kitty was missing. The neighbor whose backyard the Kitty was in was unaware the Kitty was missing. Make mini flyers and tape them to the doors of all the neighbors. Unfortunately, you are going to have to go back there quite a bit to find your Kitty… There is no way for him to find you in your new location. Are there new people moving into your home? Are they willing to help in this situation? I hope so! Is your kitty chipped? Wow… Let’s hope all your neighbors help in this situation. You should ask them that if they see the Kitty to secure it for you and call you immediately for pick up. I hope you find your Kitty!

Kevin Maclary Thank you so much for all the suggestions! ❤️ We’ll definitely try going back tonight with food and a flashlight. It’s just a little harder because we’ve already moved and no longer have access to the house he escaped from, so we can’t stay there or leave his litter box and belongings outside 😭 We’re hoping he’s still hiding somewhere nearby and comes out once everything is quiet. Thank you so much for keeping our baby in your prayers. ❤️

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

🚨 LOST INDOOR CAT – URGENT TIPS TO HELP BRING THEM HOME SAFELY 🚨 If your cat has gone missing and is usually indoors, here are critical steps to take: 🏠 Create a Safe Way for Your Cat to Return • Leave a door or window open (ideally the one they escaped from), even overnight - cats often return in the quiet late-night or early-morning hours. • Crack your garage door slightly to allow safe entry. • Place your worn, unwashed clothes up off the ground outside - your scent can help guide them home. • Do NOT place food, water, or litter boxes outside - these can attract other animals and deter your cat from returning. 🐾 Help Them Feel Safe • If you have other pets, keep them secured in a separate room to avoid scaring the missing cat away if they return. 🧭 Search Nearby and Alert Others • Cats typically don’t go far - they may be hiding under decks, in bushes, sheds, garages, or yards close to home. • Talk to your neighbors and ask them to check around their property. • Request that neighbors check doorbell or security cameras (like Ring) for sightings. 📣 Spread the Word – Not Everyone Uses Social Media • Put up physical signs ASAP - include a clear photo and contact info. • Post online in multiple places: • Facebook (your page and local lost pet groups) • Nextdoor • PawBoost Lost & Found • Ring Neighbors app ⚠️ Beware of Scams • If someone contacts you saying they have your cat and asks for money or asks you to verify a code, do NOT respond - this is a scam.
