It’s very hard to see a black dot on a cat’s nose when cats don’t let you get that close and it’s also not something that shows up on camera. Do you have more pictures to share of his color patterning? I have a cat with similar coloring that has been visiting my backyard for months but if you keep your cat indoors and just lost him, this can’t be that cat because this one has been out and about for months. I’ve always wondered if he’s someone’s pet who lets him out which breaks my heart given where we live. I’m shocked but grateful that he’s still alive and appears to be in good health. He sprays urine on my patio door when he visits probably because I have cats inside that look out that patio door at night. I’m wondering if he’s the same cat Heidi Crowther Grant has mentioned in an earlier comment.

This cat has been wandering the neighborhood for months. He is let outside a lot. We posted his picture when he showed up in our backyard several times and got no response. We haven’t seen him since the day you reported him missing. We have two cats of our own, so they puff up when he shows up at our glass door.
