Message from Finder

I found this small cat on Friday 10/16. She has fleas and looks to have an allergic reaction to them which has caused her to have scabs on her neck and forehead. If anyone recognizes her or if anyone is interested in taking her in contact me.

Weaver Yater Here are a few suggestions in case they help you find the owner: --You could knock on doors since some folks may not be on social media. — If you are able to take the cat safely in a carrier to a veterinary clinic they can scan for a microchip. — Another option would be to put up some neighborhood flyers that say, “Is this your cat? Making sure the kitty has a home. Please call ___________.” Because there are people who claim animals for inhumane purposes or to sell, if someone responds to your posts or flyers, ask for proof of ownership to ensure the cat's safety: - A veterinarian reference that you verify and contact. - Photos of the cat with the owner. - Details about the cat not mentioned in your posts. - The person's full name, address, and contact info. Check ID. If your efforts to find the owner aren’t successful, please don’t give the kitty away to a stranger, there are people who take animals for inhumane purposes or to sell — seek advice from area cat rescue groups. DM me if you'd like contact info for some of these groups. You could get the cat on waiting lists if they are temporarily full. I do not recommend taking the cat to Multnomah County Animal Services because their euthanasia policy is concerning. Thanks for caring!

What color are her eyes and can you show her face and/or body? Does she have medium fur?? I’m looking for a lost white cat, which is the reason for my questions. Thx.

Weaver Yater Screen potential applicants carefully. Dogfighters use cats for bait, and they often send wives and girlfriends to pick them up--sometimes with kids in tow. Ask for veterinary references.

I am the one who found her. I have given her a bath with flea shampoo and got her a flea collar. I wish I could take her in but my existing cat is really shy and is not responding well to a new cat in the home. :( She is sweet and calm and seems comfortable around people. If no one claims her I plan to take her to the Humane Society or give her to a home that can take good care of her.
