Description

Theo is 12 years old and only 8 pounds with a missing front, canine tooth and small mat on his hip. He is an indoor cat with multiple dog siblings, who adore him and our desperately looking for him. He is likely skittish and even though he is very friendly I’m not sure he will approach a stranger with noises in the neighborhood. I will show up personally for any sightings.

Message from Owner

Most lost cats come home/ are found between midnight-5 am so that’s a good time to look. Door to door with flyers in the area and flyers with nearby vets and shelters really helps. If sighted, It’s better not to chase, lost cats are even more skittish and spooked outside and will even run from their owners. If possible, it’s better to sit at ground level and talk in a normal voice, which will bring them closer to you. Even better, bring some food, smellier the better - tuna, shrimp, rotisserie chicken. If you can safely leave a door or window cracked open specially at night, the cat might walk back in. They can get locked by mistake in sheds garages and basements, ask neighbors to check and if they can leave doors open for a while. A frightened cat in hiding probably won’t come out when people are around.

you never found your cat wow I'm sorry to hear that or your cats I don't know how many got lost but I'm sorry to hear that I don't know if they'll ever come back being in the City of Buffalo who knows that's why my cats stay indoors at all time I have only one now I had to they the one somebody left it there when they moved and it was already fixed so I ended up taking it and it wanted to go in and out for quite some time and I left it go in and out until a couple of times one night it got stuck in someone's garage in the next time someone took the cat thinking it was a stray and took it to the vet and they had to paperwork for it so I had to pay to get it back after that neither one of them went outside at all I'm not paying to get my cat back when it was my cat to begin with so I make sure that the cat I have now he don't go near the door he don't want to go near the door I think he was a stray when they found him and he has no desire to even go outside at all thank God for that a lot of people leave their cats indoor outdoor no because when you do that cats only live 3 years outdoors for the most part because they get run over by vehicles that don't give a f or they get into fights with other cats or other animals to know my my cat ain't going out so I have to pay an outrageous vet bill it's going to stay in the house but people keep leaving their animals out I don't know if you leave your animals out or not or if they got out accidentally but there are a lot of people that leave their cats go in and out and to me that's nothing but stupidity because eventually you end up paying a vet bill and if you don't have the money then you let the animals suffer either way it's wrong but everybody has their own way of doing things so I know I'm saving myself money I'm not having my animal go outside and get hurt so I can spend money I don't have it to spend I live in a very fixed income and my cat went to the vet once and he ain't going no more

Liz Marchiano Yes, I found the post. Its not Theo though. The injured kitty belonged to a woman who threw him out and wouldn't let him back in the house. I'm glad the injured kitty is safe now. I'm not sure about Theo though, unfortunately.

Patti Owczarzak I've done that with my cat and he had Kitty all timers she was pretty rough shape it brought her back when my mom said she would not return six months later my mother said she had been dead and she came popping up with that kitty litter box but I checked it dirty litter and I scattered it on both sides of my sidewalk to their door with a can of wet food and a blanket to throw over her head because I knew she would be scratching me trying to pick her up so I meant no I thought I'd like everything and I put the box real close to the door I wanted to get to come to you need to be up if you do that 234 in the morning because that's when they pop around when it's really quiet and dark and they're not going to react the same way towards you they're so traumatized from being outside don't forget by that time dogs chase some other cats chased them
