Message from Owner

Havi is the sweetest cat. We became his owners last August when my brother moved to Australia. He is an indoor/outdoor cat. He is so kind and gentle. My kids are heartbroken and we would love him to be back home safe and sound. He went missing when we were out of town. We had people checking on him. I’m not sure if another cat scared him away while we were gone. We miss him dearly and ate so heart broken. Thank you for your help.

Please go out at night after traffic noise has down, shine flash light under bushes and things cat can hide under and also in trees. Check out any green spots looking back at you. Call cat and wait for a meow back. CRITICAL INCASE CAT IS TRAPPED SOMEWHERE; start from where cat went missing and workout for a radius of 2 miles, knock on doors and ask in person if they will check sheds, garages, window wells, and other outside buildings for cat. ALSO, put cats bed or an old pair of your tennis shoes to help cat know where your porch is. NOT, a litter box that will attract other animals that may keep your cat away. Scared cats usually don't travel far from where they go missing and will wait for YOU to come find them. Also stop by local shelters and rescues everyother day to see if cat has been. turned in. GOOD LUCK

I'm so sorry that Havi is missing. Often they haven't gone far from the point of last seen so check with ALL of yourneighbors!! Research shows that most cats are found within a 6 block radius of the point of last seen. Please ask the neighbors to check their sheds, garages, window wells, under porches, etc. anywhere he may have inadvertently been trapped. It's possible someone took him in thinking that he was a stray. Consider putting missing flyers in the neighborhood and on the doorstep of any neighbors you don't get to talk to. I've helped a few neighbors track down their missing cats. All of them were found just a few blocks away. Also check online at the found cats at the shelters near you. Check daily because they are only on a stray hold for a short time before they can be adopted by others. If he's microchipped, make sure that your contact information connected to his chip registration is correct. I've seen scammers replying to lost pet posts saying that they have found the lost pet. If you have to respond by messenger it is a scam. Praying that Havi is reunited with you soon ❤️🙏 Here's a helpful resource: https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I?si=nfyOzi00hC5SNFV

***POST NEXTDOOR Check ✔️ Humane Society, Animal Shelters In-Person DAILY. Some Keep Pets 5 Days then put up for Adoption. Boots on the ground - Walk ur neighborhood check window wells, under decks, inside bushes, sheds, garages, dumpsters, under staircases. Indoor Cats don't go far, usually close by. Others hide during the day and roam @ night when it's quiet. Shake bag of cat food or treats, walking, calling by name, saying are u hungry, Bring a flashlight, search day & night. Knock on doors. Post Flyer's on neighbor's doors

Get out calling Kitty's name especially early and late when it's quiet. Search high and low with a flashlight. Put posters with number large enough to be seen while driving. And post on next door com
