Description

Please help us bring Spike home. He has been missing since September 1, 2026, and was last seen near Pleasant Grove Road / Park Road in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Spike is a small fawn/tan-and-white dog, around 15 to 16 years old, though he does not look his age. He has a lot of white on his face, including a white strip down his forehead, a tan-and-white chest, a distinctive liver-colored nose, and a small mark or mole on the white part of one of his eyes. He was last seen wearing a white or light-colored flea collar. Spike is very sweet and does not bite, but he is shy and gets skittish easily. Please do not walk up to him quickly or try to grab him—he may get scared and run, possibly into the road. If you see him, please approach slowly, bend down, and calmly say his name or call for him. If you can, please offer him some water and call us right away. We are worried sick about him. He is like family to us, and our daughter is heartbroken without him. We are afraid he may be hungry, hurt, or that someone may have taken him in. Even the smallest detail could help. If you can, please copy and share this post on other sites and Facebook pages to help us find him. We would greatly appreciate any help getting Spike home. CONTACT: APRIL RILEY CALL: OR:

I know usually I can walk outside with him and he won't run off but what it was is somebody in the road had a Chihuahua it was in heat and my dog is smart I looked away for one second and it looked right back and I can see him looking at me he turn his head and look at me again and wait till I'm not looking he'll take off so I started putting him on a lease

A little vulnerable senior can't ever be loose in an open yard where any stray dog or bird of prey can hurt them. Must always be with them on a leash.
