Message from Owner

Josh Cook and his sister camped the evening of September 19, 2026 on the Bonneville Salt flts at 40.79891, -113.81370, about four miles east of the Wendover and West Wendover line, off the speedway access. Other people were on the salt that night: an EDM party about 3–5 miles north, a sound bath near the entrance, and cars moving at all hours. Josh and his sister were not at the party. Frizzle went outside around 2–3 a.m. on September 20. She is used to nights outside. She does not wander. She stays on the camper or right next to it. When Josh woke up, she was gone. He searched that morning. He walked a spiral out from camp, drove the flts and toward the mountains, and stopped every 10–15 minutes to call her. A thermal drone found nothing. The walk covered about 1.5 miles, with spot checks out to about 10 miles. The salt has no shade, water, trees, rocks, or cover, and no sign of a predator. Josh does not think she is still out there. The working idea is that someone in a car picked her up, thinking a cat alone on the salt had been left behind. She is microchipped. The chip record was updated and she was reported missing. A car that left around 3 a.m. could reach Wendover in minutes, Salt Lake or Elko later that day, and Reno or Las Vegas by the next day. Josh’s offer is $5,000, paid $1,000 a month for five months, or once if the camper sells. Reach him at @fortheadventure95.

Vicki Ferm exactly! We do SAR and dogs change fur coloring, texture and lighting absolutely has to do with that. Good call. What other Ragdoll would be wandering out there. I sure hope the owner can see this or his team! I would say the Photo poster should only tell the owner and not have others out there looking. It draws them further out.

This is frizzle. Notice the dark patch on her right side close to rear. The other cat has that as well.

Gloria Bernal Renteria Castruita why do you say it’s not. I think it could be. I noticed her fur looks whiter in some pics depending on different lighting and cameras.
