Description

American Maine Coon, fluffy as a pompom, yellow eyes, has a sort of birthmark looking patchy on her face. She's chipped and fixed.

Message from Owner

She's not a very friendly cat in that she's weary of people unless she really knows you and she rarely even goes near the gate though she does enjoy climbing the occasional tree. So get being gone is extremely out of the ordinary and I have such a bad feeling.

Chrisna du Toit inside Groenkloof Village. About the 4th block from the bottom gate entrance. I've never actually counted. Mostly worried she fell out the tree and the neighbours pitbull got her as he's nearly broken through the fence trying to get to us when we're sitting at the pool. Not that anyone would fess up if that happened. Holding thumbs I get a call from someone who's scammed her chip. I don't know what I'll do if I don't 😭😭😭

HOW TO LURE YOUR CAT HOME Quick action in the first days of your kitty going missing brings the greatest chance of success, as cats don’t wander far in the first couple of days. Crack your garage door open or leave a front/back window, which is normally closed, open. Most cats wander home between 1 am and 5 am. Appeal to their sense of smell. Place articles of worn clothes or used towels outside among kitty’s bed or blanket. Use food to lure kitty home. Heat up sardines or tuna. Reheat every so often to keep the aroma strong, and place it outside. Call your local veterinary clinics and animal shelters to see if anyone has brought in a cat fitting your cat’s description. Also, visit shelters yourself to check their new intakes. Cats respond to their human’s normal speaking voice. Walk your neighborhood when it’s quiet and call your cat. Let your local security company know that your cat is missing. Talk to neighbors within a two-street radius and ask if they have seen your cat. Also, request that neighbors please check their outbuildings and garages. Many a cat has been locked in a garden shed or garage. All housing complexes have a network of stormwater drainage systems—a maze for any kitty. Lift a manhole and call kitty from ONLY one point of the drainage system, closest to your home. Drop his blanket or a piece of your worn clothing at this point. Check and call often. Print photo posters with information on where and when your cat went missing. Place the posters in the neighborhood. Network with local feral feeders; it is possible kitty showed up at a feeding station. Never give up!
