Message from Owner

Josiah is a 1 year old male Himalayan cat with big blue eyes. He is very scared and sketchy. If you see him please text or call right away. He is an indoor cat and will not go to strangers. He got out this morning during the rain and snow storm. He has been out for approximately 12 hours now. He is a very loved family pet. If anyone has any information on him please call me. Thank you Felicia

Janice Lawrie yes I have a blanket out, his cat litter box. I have been out non stop calling his name and shaking his treats. I know he is scared somewhere hiding. Cold and starving too. This is awful. Cats missing is different from dogs cause people will think it's an outside cat. 😔

Look close to home with a flashlight . Leave unwashed laundry out for the scent

Shared My experience for my escapees escaped from my house may work for apartment too not sure. Try this it worked for my two cats they escaped at diff times. Play cat sounds from your phone place your phone up against screen at their fave window. Let the sound loop for awhile wait and do again. If you spot them grab their bag of snacks take with you. Do not approach the cat they will run just keep saying their name and let them see u shake the treat bag and put some treats down on the ground all while talking to them wait for them to start eating then slowly approach and slowly grab. Worked for me on both cats.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, in garages, under vehicles and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.google.com/url?opi=89978449&q=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Dg2eCoC63B9I%26xstg%3DCAMSEBUJ_b-oH-PhF0yjBgb_zzE%253D&sa=U&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwjghPWRqr-XAxWsK1kFHSnQLYIQwqsBegQIDxAB&usg=AOvVaw271JAYSiGD2ZdZqADmEZOM
