Still can't find your pet? 1. Have you posted 👉👉three times a day on next door AND Neighbors by ring? (NOT THE RING APP) 👉👉 Have you commented on your post two or three times to get it going? 👉👉 Have you continued to comment for a few days so everyone in your neighborhood to see it? Or did you just post and move on to post somewhere else? 2. Did you put a reward in the first sentence? 👉👉👉With the amount? 3. Did you put a reward AND your phone number plus ONE BIG CLEAR picture of your pet on all the garages on your street? And the one behind your house? If that didn't work... 4. Did you call all the veterinarians within 10 miles of you to see if A PET MATCHING YOUR PETS DESCRIPTION was brought in injured or deceased hit by a car? 5. Did you call the local police department and ask for dispatch and see if anyone reported a deceased pet matching yours description for dead animal pickup? 6. Did you crop everything out of the picture but your pet and put it on Petco love lost?

Did you know in low income neighborhoods across the valley, the rate of microchipped pets is extremely low probably between 3 and 7%? Maybe even less? Did you know that the neighborhood apps have the top rate of recovery for lost pets? It's because they work like an amber alert. They cover the immediate vicinity and Get the word out to multiple people at once. The people most likely to see the dog in real life. Next door has around a 75% return rate. Neighbors by ring has around a 69% return rate. Cities like Gilbert and Surprise Arizona have extremely high rates of return for lost pets. One of the things I noticed about both of those cities is they are extremely interactive on these apps. They are quick to post and neighbors are quick to jump in to help and reply. Flyers have around a 7 to 21% return rate. This is because there are about 10 steps involved for a flyer to be effective. However all 3 of these are the top methods because they: Reach the immediate vicinity. Immediately They reach the people most likely to see the pet. They reach many people at once in the target area. The national average is only 6% of pets are found at the shelter. And Maricopa County shelter runs around 10-11%. Sad right? Clothing scent trails only work on maybe 2% of lost pets. They work on dogs that: ▪️ Are being trained for tracking ▪️ Calm relaxed dogs ▪️ That are within about three houses of home ▪️ That are actively looking for the house They do not work on: ▪️ Dogs in fight or flight ▪️ Dogs that are further than about three houses from home ▪️ This suggestion does not work in excessive heat temps In residential areas that are predominantly elderly residents Flyers are the way to go. Please use descriptive words in your post as well. For example if a rescue volunteer is helping an owner look for their Lost Pet they can put in found German Shepherd Buckeye Arizona August 2026 and hit search. If you have German Shepherd Buckeye Arizona August 2026 in your post then your post will likely come up.

Puppies are hardly ever returned. Certain breeds of dogs are hardly ever returned. If the dog looks like this picture it probably didn't even make it off your street. You're going to have to put the reward to motivate the finder to give the dog back. If the dog is worth more than the money to them they won't. I have found with expensive breeds or cute puppies even with a big reward like $500-$1000, after 48 hours they still won't give it back. So that doesn't mean it's hopeless that means you really need to work the things that matter most.

Hi I'm a Lost Pet Advocate and Lost Pet strategist in the valley and there's about a 98% chance that this dog will be taken and kept. Because of that you need to do the right things and you need to hurry. If you really want to get this dog back you need to get Flyers up with a reward WITH THE AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY ALL OVER THE PLACE.
