Message from Owner

Please help me find my cat I'm genuinely so worried and it's been 4 weeks since he went missing. He left 4 days after we found him the first time he went missing and now there has been no sightings of him at all. He's very loved by our family and he's such a sweet goofy cat and he may be scared outside in the cold during this time of year. He went missing around 10PM On Monday 21st of September and I've been really worried about him and searching nonstop for him and i can't accept anything right now. If you see him or something similar but you don't know please don't hesitate to contact me, Thank you so much for helping to bring my cat home.

A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as (Click on the link www.catsinthebag.org itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Animal Services and local shelters (and we keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. And here is some helpful info: https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ Post on Neighbourhood/community and park groups for the area too, and be sure to also do a post on the fb group ‘Toronto Lost and Found Cats’

Shared. Note that TWO DAYS i a long time to a cat, this is much, much longer. If you have not yet done ALL these things, do them now. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Check every two days. If he was injured he may be hiding. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. Leave his used used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left NOW and check late this evening. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up. Check Toronto Animal Services lost and found and strays Report your car lost at Toronto Animal Services As your neighbour you could accompany them to search garages and sheds.

Not sure if this will help, but you could try.. Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna can 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Leave little bit of your windows 🪟open. So the cat may hear familiar voices. Also vaccumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the🐈 cat. 10 houses to the ⬅️ left 10 house🏡 to the right➡️ front ⬆️ and back⬇️ if they spot him to give you a call ☎️ immediately. Also, you can put up a Sign post 🪧with your 🐱📷 picture. In front of your 🏡lawn and to call you or contact you ASAP. Go early ⏰️ in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Check under decks. They like to hide there and also check under neighbor's 🚗vehicles. Also, you can install a camera / Baby monitor 📹 to monitor and see & hear if the cat is around your house 🏡. You can even ask your Local Pet 🐱 Animal Shelter to Rent out a Safe Trap and monitor it.. Post your ad on your phone app NEXTDOOR, & PAWBOOST too ! Praying for a soon safe return 🍀 of your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Hoping you find this puss😕❤️ Go out looking for her/him at night when it’s quiet. Call and listen! for them to call back. Go down laneways etc too - they could be trapped in a garage, injured & hiding, scared… Knock on doors & talk to people on the street - they may know of her/him - someone may have taken them in. Post on All Neighbourhood social media sites. Put up posters - drop as flyers in mailboxes. File a LOST report with Toronto/other Animal Services in case they end up there - continue to check their listings! Continue to call - they won’t necessarily call you. Also, check their ‘deceased animals’ listings 🥲 Consider setting a well-monitored live trap in your yard. He may be too scared to come out but may be able to be trapped. You may catch other critters that will need to be released. Keep looking! Don’t give up on her/him .🥰
