Message from Owner

we lost our boy Rorschach “Rory” in the lake valencia neighborhood last night - 6/15/26 10pm. They were staying at my mom’s for a few days while my sister transitioned into a new home. She had him in a carrier and went to load him in the car when the carrier unzipped, and he bolted. We saw him running towards Valencia Ln E intersection but we had a possible sighting from the flyers we put out at the 2771 Valencia Ln W address this morning (6/16) but not confirmed. He’s from Trinity and isn’t familiar with this neighborhood at all. He’s white/black with an unusual face marking, slender frame and SUPER skittish. very scared of all things so please approach with caution or contact me directly if seen. I really appreciate the help. 🤍

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. scare neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🐾🏡

Please read till the end..Walk around calling your cat as you always do. Look under bushes and in hiding places. Look at dawn and dusk with a flashlight to catch the glare of your cat's eyes. Use a trap...The only way to find his way home.or to the trap is by smell. Use some of your used clothes, put them outside and around the trap. A friend of mine used her shirt and dragged it through the neighborhood. Her cat found the smell and followed it home. It is all about the smell. You can also cut a shirt of yours into small small pieces and leave a scent trail back to the trap. I read a few days ago that a lady put out a trace with the old litter throughout the neighborhood. It worked. Her cat came home! Use the litter to lead your cat to the trap. Also try to distribute flyers throughout that neighborhood...as many as you can ( 3 miles radius at least). Check shelters in person...don't just call. Put battery operated trail cameras or motion cameras (Amazon for $25) outside. Your cat might show up in the middle of the night. When you know the time you can wait for for your cat and slow blink to make contact. NEVER GIVE UP! I read once that you can put a chair outside and cover it up with a blanket and the cat can jump up and hide under the blanket and feels safe. They said you should put one of your shirts under the blanket and food and water next to the chair. It might be worth a try to put up a chair

Are you able to put his scent anything that stinks of him along with your sweaty dirty clothes and your stinkiest shoes outside your mom's? If you have lost a cat read my first long paragraph. If you found one, Please read the last paragraph The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately anything with the cat's scent on it and anything that stinks of you like your smelly socks something that you sweated in overnight and your stinky sneakers even your dirty clothes and your underwear! Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night. These are good times to take walks shaking the treat bag and calling for them. Cats can smell up to a whole mile away. So do that immediately and also put this on nextdoor. com and the other lost and found pet sites. Go on those sites looking at pics of found cats too. There might be a match. They tend to come home late at night or early in the morning so if you can keep a window cracked or a door cracked so at least you hear them. Good luck IF YOU HAVE FOUND A CAT: Please post this on all the lost and found pet pages in your county as well as all the neighborhood pages. Look on those pages just look at the photos try to make a match to someone that lost this cat. Any vet will check for a chip for free. In the meantime please give food and water to the kitty and shelter if you can.

If you haven't already, also post on Nextdoor, Lost and Found Pets of Pinellas County, Pawboost and the Ring app so that we can share further. Go out at night and shine a flashlight while calling his name. Shake some treats. The light will reflect off of his eyes. Notify Pinellas County Animal Services in case they pick him up or someone turns him in to them. Check out their website regularly too just in case he's already there. Put up fliers all around the area where he went missing. Let your neighbors know to be on the lookout because they don't usually go very far from home 🙏🏻

Praying your gorgeous kitty is found ASAP here’s some tips from another person 🙏🐾🏠 Author Cindy Snyder We've had a lot of rescue cats, strictly indoor once they're with us, and a few have escaped over the years. Here's how we've gotten them all back. Go outside at multiple times of day and night (I see you've been looking daily), and call his name and talk to him. Indoor cats often seem to have trouble figuring out how to get back inside. Talk to your immediate neighbors, including the one behind you. One of ours escaped 3 times (I kept thinking I'd fixed the escape spot). He went over the back fence and got trapped on the neighbor's side. We found him because he could get between 3 yards & the neighbor 3 doors down saw him in her backyard. My bf took a flyer with is photo to every house on our street and the street behind us and personally spoke to someone at every house. We were able to make a ramp for him to get back over. The second time, i assumed he would come back as soon as the ramp was in place. I had to walk around for 15 minutes, calling his name and talking to him while walking back to the door I left open for him. They may not know how to get back in, but they can follow your voice to safety. Ask your immediate neighbors to check their yards and anyplace he could be trapped (shed, storage bin, garage, etc.) on their property. Unless he's super-friendly, it's not likely that anyone was able to pick him up. That means he should be nearby.
