Found/Stray Bird in High Point, NC 27265

I saw this bird around 10 a.m. this Sunday morning on my patio. When I opened the door, it flew out of my sight. I looked around but could not find it. About 5 minutes later, it come back to my patio and ate some sunflower hearts off the patio. Again I tried to go out, hoping it would be friendly. This time it was at the far end of my small, fenced in backyard, just standing on the ground. I talked to it gently and was really hoping, that being a pet, it might come to me. Unfortunately, after 2 or 3 minutes it flew right past me towards my neighbour's (attached) hse. Because of the fence I couldn't see where it went. I walked around and couldn't find it. I brought my late Parrot's transport cage out to the patio and propped the door open, hoping and praying it would come back and feel safe by going in the cage. NOTHING. Later on I walked to my mailbox on the next street, looking. Unfortunately, it hasn't returned but I have let the cage on the patio on the off chance that it will remember the sunflower hearts and return.
