Message from Owner

We took our cat on a walk on the trail at Sesquicentennial Park when he escaped from his carrier and leash/collar. He was last seen near the pedestrian bridge near the falls. His name is Jack and he is almost 2 years old. He is grey and white with a tuxedo pattern and has brown/amber eyes. We have left his litter and some food for him in the area we last saw him. We also set out a humane trap with one of our belongings and food inside. Please let us know if you see him! His parents and sister really want him safe and sound.

Anna Ho I would give everyone camping there a flyer as well. If you can borrow more humane traps, put yummy food in there, tie them open, and ask the campers to keep an eye on who or what goes in. If your kitty makes an appearance, set the trap. Good luck ❤️

Anna Ho thank you for having him neutered and microchipped ❤️ Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. Please don't leave his litterbox outside - it can attract predators. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere looking for food. I'm not familiar with that park, is there a campground there?

Indoor only cats are usually close to within 2-3 houses on any side , get a strong flashlight and look for eye reflection even in the day as they are masters of camouflage when in survival terrified mode…. Look thick shrubs , under sheds, etc remember wherever their head fits the whole body will fit …..go out safely at night , and in your normal “ kitty” voice, do what your cat knows….. shake treats? Open a can of food? A toy? What your cat knows so you can prove it’s really you as they will not trust that it is right now……HURRY

Is he neutered? Microchipped? Has he ever been to that park before?
