My cat has recently taken an interest to our backyard, previously he wouldn’t even go near the door. I can’t express enough how scared he was and is of the outside. His name is king. He is the sweetest boy ever, just very skiddish. He is a chunky boy, fully black and about 12-15lbs. He wanted to go outside last night just as I headed out for a movie. He only likes the backyard, and he’d never gone beyond our neighbours back fence (we’re connected). He wasn’t here when I got home last night and I haven’t seen him yet this morning. Please keep an eye out for my sweet boy. I’m terrified and I barely slept. He answers usually to me and will come if I call. I don’t know how much he’ll listen to strangers, however he normally will respond or react to his name for anyone.

Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. HOW ABOUT STOP LETTING YOUR CAT OUTSIDE AND THEY WOULDNT GO MISSING !!!!! the amount of missing posts and their identity photos are of them outdoors .. you really wonder why…. Cats are born hunters they explore that’s so stupid to let them outdoors ! They’re easy prey use your brain.

Kings owner here. I will post some more pictures of him here, please keep an eye out for him. He could be hiding under a deck or AC unit. Anything. He’s never been outside like this before, and I am so so worried.
