★ DAXTER ★ When a beloved family member vanishes with no trace left behind, it turns into a haunting case. No answers... No reunion... No closure... In this case, the missing family member is a dog named Daxter who's described as a silly, goofy, funny, and happy boy. When Dax vanished, his family went above and beyond the standard "lost pet search" procedure; they have spent countless hours and thousands of dollars on the search for Daxter. Eventually, it got to the point where there was nothing more that could be done other than hope that one day, someone would come forward with a piece of information bringing the answers to Daxter's disappearance and/or whereabouts. Daxter's family has given us permission to step in and continue the search for the answers. Please know that they haven't given up at all! The heart can only take so much of the ups and downs that come with a prolonged search for the missing loved one; at times, it gets to the point where the person cannot carry the weight all by themselves. It has been an extremely emotional journey for the family. Sharon and I have been involved in every step of this search from day one, and we all have investigated and followed all leads; our hope with this post is that it reaches the person who may have the information we need to get some answers. ~~~~~~~ Daxter disappeared from his owner's Jeep on a camping trip. He and another dog, his "sister", were placed in the Jeep for safety reasons due to Wild Turkey hunting season. The owner was within earshot of the vehicle and only went right around the corner on a trail right by a dirt road where the Jeep was parked; when they returned to the vehicle a short time later, Daxter was missing, and the 2nd dog was scared out of her wits, cowering in the rear, which is out of character because they are known to hang out in the front seats while watching and waiting for the owner to come back. We have all gone over every single possible theory of what may have transpired and have looked into every potential clue left behind. *Disclaimer: It is unknown if a person was involved in Daxter's disappearance from the vehicle; therefore, no claims or accusations are currently being made against a person. It happened during the wild turkey spring season (hunting), and there were groups of hunters camping in the area. Some of them left and headed home before the owner had a chance to check with them to see if they had seen Daxter, so we are hoping that one of them has a piece of the puzzle that may bring us some answers. There's a chance that somehow Daxter was found wandering around and the finder left the area with Daxter before the owner could be located. • Location: Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge in Stevens County, Washington • Date: April 19, 2025 (note the year) If you have any information, please reach out to one of us.
