Please don't stop searching for Whiskey. I cared for a feral cat colony near the Byward Market and happily reunited two cats with their respective owners many months after the cats had become lost. It happens; cats get lost😿 and they get found 😽. Good luck. Don't give up.

Put out her/his bedding (because your cat's scent already on it). If you have other pets, secure them then keep a door a bit open. She/He might be hiding close by, so she/he would be able to come back. Keep calling her/his name, check the neighbors garages, in case she/he went in but couldn't get out. File a lost pet with OHS (Or local SPCA), it can be done online. Also check OHS (or local SPCA) for found cats to see if someone found your cat and brought him there. When you post her/his picture, her/his description, time and date and location in your neighborhood share the same information with the local veterinarian clinics in case someone finds her/him and brings her/him for microchip scanning. Check in a pet microchip database (if your cat microchipped)your cat's microchip number to ensure your information is up-to-dated. If not, update it along with her/his current situation. Please note, if your cat has a microchip, it doesn't mean it has your information, unless you pay a fee and add your information to it. If you already done these, please update the posters with current date and add "STILL MISSING".

WHISKEY Is adorable, It has been a while since he has been gone but don't lose hope. Put out posters within a 4 block radius as someone may have found him and taken him in thinking he was a stray. Then visit all the vets in your area and ask them to be mindful of any cats that come in looking like him. And lastly, call or visit all the animal shelters in your area in case someone turned him in. Call them every 3 days to get any update they may have. When he does come home micro chip him so that should this happen again he can be reunited to you quicker. GOOD LUCK ❤
