🚨 MISSING CAT — DISTINCTIVE HIND-LEG DISABILITY — ROCKLIN, CA 🚨 LIMPY — MISSING SINCE SEPTEMBER 10, 2026 Limpy is a 1-year-old neutered male brown/gray tabby, microchipped, who went missing from Jan Ct. near Grove St. in Rocklin, about one block from Rocklin Cemetery on Kannasto St. ⭐ MOST IMPORTANT IDENTIFIER: HIS VERY DISTINCTIVE WALK Limpy was born 5/31/25, with a congenital defect affecting his back and hind legs. The way he moves can identify him immediately: • He often bunny-hops with his hind legs • He can run surprisingly fast, but his run is crooked/uneven • When he gets tired, his left hind leg can collapse and drag underneath him If you've seen a young tabby moving this way, PLEASE contact us — even if you're not sure it's him. Limpy is normally extremely friendly, sweet and very vocal, although after being away from home he may be frightened, hiding, or behave differently than usual. IMPORTANT: He was NOT wearing a collar when he disappeared. Some older photos show him wearing a purple bell collar, but he no longer had it on when he went missing. 🔎 PLEASE CHECK YOUR PROPERTY Please check garages, sheds, backyards, under decks, bushes, crawl spaces, around fences and other small or enclosed spaces. Please also check security-camera footage if you are in or around the area. Because of his hind-leg disability, we're especially concerned that he could have gotten somewhere and become trapped or unable to get back out. ❤️ IF YOU SEE OR FIND LIMPY Please do not chase him if he seems frightened. He is normally very friendly, so if he approaches you or you can safely contain him, please do so. If possible, take a photo or video and note the exact location and time of the sighting. Please contact us immediately — even if you aren't completely certain it's Limpy. Limpy is microchipped. If you safely find or contain him, any veterinary clinic can scan his chip. The Rocklin Police Department handles Animal Control and is located nearby on Grove St. They can also assist with getting him scanned and reunited with us, and we have already been in contact with them about Limpy. Please share this post, especially with anyone in and around Jan Ct., Grove St., Rocklin Cemetery/Kannasto St., and surrounding Rocklin neighborhoods. He is deeply loved and desperately missed. We just want our boy home. 🥹❤️

Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Have a tree out back? Check that too. Leave your garage door up a little so they can return home to a familiar place. Place a box outside with blankets or even the clothes you wore today so a cat can pick up the scent and make it home. If you are new to this area, have friends keep an eye out at your former home. And please: CHECK THE LOCAL SHELTERS DAILY I hope your kitty makes it back home safe very soon. Please make sure to get your cat chipped once they return, and PLEASE keep them indoors! PLEASE NEVER LOSE HOPE! LOOK UP! Cats are great climbers and looking for them on the ground only is limiting your search. Male wanderers tend to stay within a territory of about 150 acres, while females stay closer to home, roaming only about 40 acres. This means that your average male cat is likely to stay within 1500 feet of home, while your average female tends not to go much farther than 75 yards from your door. Be careful of the lost pet finders. Most of them are playing on your emotions and wanting cash up front.! https://www.pawboost.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=report_pet_alert_link_lost Sacramento SPCA | (916) 383-7387 Front Street Shelter | 311 or (916) 808-7387 Bradshaw Animal Shelter | 311 or (916) 368-7387 Elk Grove Animal Services | (916) 691-2489 or (916) 714-5115 Not from the Sacramento area? Lost Cat Go outside and call for your cat like every five or 10 minutes relentlessly. If you have a can of treats, I would shake that every five or 10 minutes as well. A lot of times cats are scared and hiding close by. I say this from experience with my own cat I really hope you find your kitty.🙏🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🙏
