Put litter box on porch. Helps them find their way home.

John Groom probably hiding scared under something nearby or stuck in a garage or shed. Go outside any time but especially at dark and into the wee hours of the morning with a flashlight and look under things to see eyes glowing. Indoor fixed kitties rarely go far and are usually found hiding scared nearby. Look under everything...porches, decks, sheds, cars, bushes, etc. Look at night and into the wee hours of the morning with a flashlight to see eyes glowing. Ask/tell neighbors. Flyers =sightings. Consider using a humane trap ASAP. Please no litter box outside because it can attract predators and potentially keep your kitty from returning. Prayers for a safe return. If you're able you can also try leaving a door, garage door or window cracked open to let kitty come back in. A video doorbell or trail camera can be helpful to see if kitty is coming around when you're sleeping.

🐾Place some dirty laundry outside, go out shake it I treats, crack a can of catfood and tap it. Look at night with flashlight because their eyes glow. Check in sheds and under porches, decks ect. Talk to neighbors too, make sure they check their shelters . Might have to set a hav-a heart trap if he's that skittish. Might only come out at night. Sometimes if you leave part of your garage open they will sneak back in. Not sure if that's possible or if you have other animals. I've heard where the cat jumps back in a window. Flyers are VERY important too, someone may have taken him in or seen him. Not everyone is on Facebook-Let your post office delivery person know too in case they hear of someone or see him on the local route- check with neighbors, someone may have brought him in. It's a good idea to hang a sign from your mailbox "LOST CaT" in case they are looking for an owner. You can buy a cheap TASCo game camera at Walmart $29 with an SD card and set it up to see if you catch him near by. It surprisingly takes good pictures and is easy to set up- definitely do the dirty laundry and definitely do the tapping of the cat food can. These things really do help🐾🐾🐾don't lose hope. I've had strays remain elusive for over a year before they learn to trust again. They go into survival mode. Be vigilant about flyers, ask neighbors. Sometimes the cat is hanging out at a neighbors close by ***also check with pAw bo0st neXt do0r and find toBy

Community pages are a good place to share this kind of thing. But you must post on lost and found sites so that everyone can share and more people will see it.Start with Paw boost. Put flyers everywhere and always include your phone number. Take some with you when you go out looking for him and give 1 to anybody you see so they will know who to contact if they find him or even have a sighting. Notify local vets, animal control and police.. Check shelters In person and by phone and leave your contact info every single time... Tell all your neighbors and the mailman, and give them flyers too. Put a flyer in your front yd saying... THIS IS MY LOST DOG. IF YOU EVEN SEE HIM, CONTACT ME. When you get him back, Immediately put a GPS collar on him and/or Air tag. That way you can track him right away before something dangerous could happen if he would ever accidentally escape again. Make a written list of all the things to do n get started right away. Do not wait.... ...And pray..... I did 💜
