🚩🚩Report the dog found to all area vet offices, their staff may also recognize this dog. Scan for a microchip at any vet/ER vet office. Report the dog found to the local county shelter - often can be done online. They may ask you to foster while the dog is advertised as found giving time for the owner to come forward. If the owner does not come forward and the stray hold is up, then the dog can be legally adopted through the shelter. If you can’t foster for the shelter, ask them about your options for the dog. Post FOUND DOG signs at intersections, along the street and adjacent streets; subdivision entrances for a 1- to 2-mile radius from the point found. Do not adopt or giveaway a just found dog/pet, it is illegal to do so. Go through the shelter. If someone claims they are the owner, require proof, vet records, pictures etc.

You know, this dog could belong to a senior person being the area that she was found in and they may not know how to go about looking for her. They may not even have social media. Maybe you could put some flyers up in that area if not, Tuesday, I will go over there and play some up.

Looks like glaucoma and it’s very painful in dogs. Needs eye to bring down the pressure. Needs immediate attention from vet. 💜🙏
