Small gray and black cat with clipped left ear.

Message from Finder

Small ( either young or just small) cat. Unable to get close enough to get photo till just recently. Now, since feeding , comes closer, but still not able to touch to capture and take to scan for chip. Kitty seems to want to accept us, but still doesn’t trust us. Will sit in our vicinity and watch us and eat while we sit next to him, but scoot off if we move at all. Comes to the door and meows when he wants fed. We’re trying to take good care of Kitty( I don’t know the ), but hope he has an owner who would be thrilled to have him back.

The past two days we haven’t seen her much during late morning and afternoon, so we’re hoping she has found a comfortable place to stay. We have multiple trees and shrubs that could give her some shade. She has appeared again in the evenings. Thank you for your suggestions.

You’re off to a great start with the feeding, proximity and her/him * asking* to be fed. The clipped ear means s/he is likely fixed. Between the wicked heat and upcoming fireworks it’d be dandy to offer shady and safe shelter if you can get that baby to cross your threshold or hideout in the garage at least. With luck, eventually you can get this kitty to a vet for a microchip check which could find the owner fast. Shared your post.
