Found this info 🐾❤️🙏🏼****** Look in GARAGES AND SHEDS ****** ****** UP TREES AND POWER POLES*** Please use whatever applies: Please double-check everywhere indoors. Sometimes people think their kitties got outside but were actually found indoors after a few hours and even several days. Check under and behind all furniture and any possible access into couches or box-spring mattress, lower cupboards, closets, linen closets, access to walk-in attic spaces, ductwork, basement crawl spaces, laundry baskets or hampers and in every room. ALSO if outside: Should still be close by unless taken. Go out and check under all decks, steps, shrubs, bushes and vehicles. Also check up in trees, up power posts and rooftops, you never know. If searching at night use a flashlight as their eyes glow making them easier to spot. ****Check garages, greenhouses, sheds and outbuildings. This is especially important. I actually found my cat in the camper. He snuck in while we were cleaning and got locked in. Also a neighbour’s kitty was accidentally locked in a garage for a bit over two weeks, only ONE block from home. Flyers in mailboxes, supermarkets, gas stations and community centres. This can help find kitty as folks went out to check. Put up posters and flyers around your neighbourhood on power poles and on post boxes. Put a flyer in neighbour’s mailboxes asking them to check their property as well. Walk around your neighbourhood and call, call, call shaking treat bag if familiar with that. If you see the kitty approach him/her slowly and calmly so it doesn't run away. MAY NOT come to you right away even if it recognizes you or your voice as kitty is scared and in survival mode. Could be within one to 10 houses up or down your street, check alleyways, fence lines and any buildings in alleys. Put out their litter box and kitty bed with a favourite blanket or your sweater or something with your scent on it in an area protected from the elements if possible. Please check all doors frequently throughout the night 🙏🐈🙏 Let Animal Control know that kitty escaped and you're actively searching for him. If Animal Control receives a call that someone has a lost their cat they can and will scan for a microchip and call you. SO it is important to call the microchip company to be sure ALL of your info is current and up-to-date. Check with the vet that provided that microchip for their contact number. Notify your regular vet that kitty is lost/missing. Notify veterinary clinics in nearby communities. Cats have been baited and trapped then dumped. Praying for a safe return home very soon. 💖🐾🌹🐈🌹
