If there’s a neighborhood Facebook page where your kitty went missing, post on there right away so people in the area can be on the lookout; - ask them to check their outdoor cameras for any sightings. - Put up MISSING CAT flyers all around the area where kitty went missing with her picture and your contact info. Try also putting up flyers in Saluda Shoals Park, as well as in the neighborhoods in that area.

Blair A. Minick thank you for having her spayed and microchipped ❀️ Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that she's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case she turns up. Ask them all about any local TNR groups or community cat feeders and give them flyers too, in case she turns up at a colony somewhere looking for food. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask them all if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time she went missing. If so, call the businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Look up in trees in case she was chased. Call her in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if she likes that kind of stuff. If she's injured or scared, she's probably hunkered down and hiding somewhere. She may not answer you when you call, but that's just instinctual as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators. Put her beds/ blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When she comes home, you might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep her safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❀️
