Dog Found This dog was found last night at approximately 2020 on the 295 merge lane coming off of cliffdale. It was a female, she appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries, I contacted Emergency Services but FPD said no one would be dispatched until tomorrow since animal services was closed, myself and a friend put her in a blanket and put her in my car as carefully as we could and took her to the Veterinarian in the photo. The veterinary team scanned for a chip but couldnt find one and due to the injuries told me they would humanely euthanasia her, her body will be held for 10 days. Sorry for your loss, she seemed aware that we were helping her and didnt seem in alot of pain in her final moments made sure she wasn't just left on the side of the road after she was hit. 🥺 She was transported to East Veterinarian hosp in Fayetteville on 1731 Convoy Street off 295

Johana Hosbrough did they say what was wrong with her injuries? Because my stepdad had a dog hit by a car one time. And the vet told us it was gonna be some outrageous price to fix him. And it was just his hip was messed up, but he was still a pup. And we couldn't afford the outrageous price at the time to fix them. But my sister was a vet. Tech, and she called her vet that night, but couldn't get up with Em. We ended up having to put him down because they wouldn't let us take him with us. And we couldn't pay $4000 to fix its hip. And the owner of her veterinary office, the next day, told us that he would have gotten better on his own. Because he was a pub. And he was still growing, he would have just had to walk with a towel. And be carefully walked for about 3 months until he healed on his own. That there was no reason to put him down and no Reason to do surgery. So from that day forward, I have not trusted emergency vets. One bit, because the one near me apparently doesn't know what they're doing. They flat out would not let us take our dog home that night. So that we could at least talk to my sisters, doctor at her work to make sure we were doing the right thing. Also the same vet charged my boyfriends daughter $500 for seeing the his dog for 30 minutes and a for gabapenton that I had already given him for her. She had pancreatic issues. That cleared up the next day with a little bit of pain and sedation. So I don't trust too many vets. I've had a lot of other problems with vets so It always makes me wonder. I have a dog they put down for something like getting hit by a car. Can be fixed fir less or get better on its own . But thank you for helping her. In no way, am I condemning you? I'm just asking
