Dog Found This dog was found last night at approximately 2020 on the 295 merge lane coming off of cliffdale. It was a female, she appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries, I contacted Emergency Services but FPD said no one would be dispatched until tomorrow since animal services was closed, myself and a friend put her in a blanket and put her in my car as carefully as we could and took her to the Veterinarian in the photo. The veterinary team scanned for a chip but couldnt find one and due to the injuries told me they would humanely euthanasia her, her body will be held for 10 days. Sorry for your loss, she seemed aware that we were helping her and didnt seem in alot of pain in her final moments made sure she wasn't just left on the side of the road after she was hit. 🥺 She was transported to East Veterinarian hosp in Fayetteville on 1731 Convoy Street off 295

this is why people should control their animals. this tragedy was completely avoidable. but I give props and kudos to the people that actually went the extra mile . How many people didn't ? It's a shame that nobody else stopped

Maria Concétta you're right about the dog pooping itself. But if you actually read, the dog was actually euthanized at the veterinary hospital. That tells me that the dog was still alive when it got to the vet. The veterinary team decided that the animal was too far gone. again I base my comment solely on what the author of this post said.

Janet Gagnon looking at what happened I would say that they're probably weren't very many options. She had already relieved herself. That would indicate her body was already shutting down. I don't think it's a financial commitment but a Humane commitment.

Johana Hosbrough thank you for caring for this precious soul as she crossed the rainbow bridge. Great Pyrenees dogs are so incredibly loyal, she must have been scared. I hope her owners are found.

Krishna Fawn LEGALLY, a vet can't stop you from taking your own pet. Maybe if it's a stray, but not your own pet. I would've DEMANDED my dog, & if they refused, I would've called the police! I certainly would have taken him BY FORCE, if necessary!! Under NO circumstances would I have agreed to euthanization! You have to SIGN for that or they can't do that AGAINST THE OWNER'S WILL!!

Someone needs to help her. She does not need to be euthanized because no one can pay for her care.
