Black German Shepherd with tan feet. She is very friendly, does bark at people she doesn’t know. She can be shy, but warms up quickly to someone. Was Last seen off Ponderosa Rd and Bailey Thomas Rd at the Lee Co / Harnett Co line. We believe someone has her. She is Spayed and Microchipped!

Message from Owner

Our dog Layla got out the side gate around 6:05am after something opened it at 2:16am this morning. She’s a very friendly dog. She’s not an outside dog, only goes out to potty or play when we are outside. She’s has a new sense of freedom at the moment. Please help us find her.

Pamela Whitaker it’s feels pointless in having an animal microchipped. We have notified all vet offices also dog training facilities I could find email addresses too. After going in person at a few I found out they do not question ownership if someone came in with a new dog/cat. They just treat it as a new client. No questions asked and done scan for a chip unless they say it’s a stray.

Melissa Hardy Cook I know you can do that with iPads or telephone if they’re locked or stolen lost or stolen I don’t see why they can’t do it what’s up with a chip on the animal

Pamela Whitaker we are checking every sighting that comes our way but none have turned out to be her. The only sighting we can confirm was the one on the day she went missing 12/14/25. A gentleman saw her across 87 down past the stop light in Olivia. Then my father in law saw her as well but she wouldn’t go to him. Then add in all the highway traffic she ran into the woods. We are pretty confident someone has her. We hired a dog tracker in the beginning but without a confirmed sighting that doesn’t help right now. I check every local page daily along with shelters, Nextdoor, PetcoLove etc. We miss her dearly and will not give up on looking for her. We are offering a Reward for her safe return no questions asked.
