Message from Owner

A lady found Teddy and posted her on Nextdoor. She told me Teddy was sent to a rescue, but I found out she told others Teddy was sent to a foster who renamed her Dolly Parton. She stopped responding after we talked last Saturday around 7 PM, and I think I’m blocked. My grandpa is in his last days and Teddy is his support dog. My grandma is also heartbroken because Teddy was gifted to her after her other pet past. We just want her home. 💔

This dog was lost two months ago. The stray hold is max 14 days. I don’t even think it’s that long anymore. If it went to Rescue after stray hold, there’s absolutely nothing anybody can do. She’s just coming forward now saying it was her dog If you have a dog for a period of time it becomes yours if it’s been rehomed two months later, it’s been rehomed.

Darlene Foss I would have no problem with her fostering her if she was willing to bring her back to us. But she told the lady who originally found her not to tell us where she was and said she was “long gone.” If that’s how you would want your pets treated, then honestly that’s crazy.

Darlene Foss Please don’t treat it like we haven’t been looking for her since then, because we absolutely have. That’s how we even got in contact with the lady in the first place. And honestly, I feel like you may know this lady, which is why you’re defending her. She is not a good person. She took my dog and has been keeping her from us, and all the proof is there. We have screenshots, messages, and everything showing what happened.

Darlene Foss Yes, she got lost in August and was found just about 3 days later. We’ve been looking for her ever since. I know she is being cared for over there, but the lady who took her to the foster doesn’t want us to know where she is and told us she was “long gone,” even though she is still up for adoption. We did NOT just leave her out—we care about her so much. So no, I don’t feel better knowing she took her. A really nice lady had her before this and we could’ve gotten her back, but she trusted this lady because she thought she was nice, and unfortunately she turned out to be mean and is now making it difficult for us to get our dog back.

We found her! She is in Thousand Oaks. The lady goes by Mary Cramer and works with the rescue or organization involved with her. She is refusing to give us any information about where she is or let us have contact with her. We just want our dog back and need answers. Please share so we can get her home. 💔
