Pam Pierson Voorhees the problem there is coyotes in the area I lost him if I did so it attact them. The best thing that I dream is one of the neibor can see and keep him inside. Some neibors now knows about him and hope they will feed him to get inside until I get him. Thank you for all your caring.

You can have the person/petsitter set up a scent spot by soaking a sock or small rag in mackerel juice and hanging from a low hanging branch. Then set up a feeding station, camera and trap there - but it must not be left unattended for your cat’s safety.

I understand that — it’s to keep him close to the location where he was lost, so that he can be hopefully captured or lured inside that home. It’s to create a scent spot to locate him, rather than him straying from his last known location.
