This dog was wandering around the front of the store panting like crazy. My son went over and petted the dog because he loves dogs. Another customer got the dog some water and posted on this site. The owner had the nerve to text my son accusing him of taking her dog and keeping her from finding the dog. You have to wonder why some people are just so . We don’t even live here. Maybe watch your dog!

Pamela Dahms the last thing anyone can do in New Orleans is called SPCA.. you have to call a rescue… the SPCA in New Orleans is a mess. Underfunded understaffed isn’t even open half the time. And from what I hear they’re more about putting dogs down than finding owners.

Hello, I was the one who posted this sweet FB, Paws Boost and Nextdoor because I love dogs. I happened to be at the store last night when I saw her laying on the floor in between the checkout lanes. I got her some water and worked very hard to make certain she would be taken care of for the night and not be made to go back on the street. One of the girls that worked at Rouses thought she could possibly take her home for the evening because the SPAC was closed for the night. I bought food for the dog (Fresh Pet). After I was confident that someone would take care of her I left the store and posted the photos on Facebook, Paws Boost and Nextdoor in hopes that the dog could be reunited with her owner. The worker at the store later told me that the Managers decided to call the police to come get her. She told me that it was the Police Station located on Royal Street. This was last night (Wednesday night). I don’t know anything more than this. And I do believe what the worker told me. I am a Flight Attendant and I was on an overnight in NOLA. I have actually Fostered 27 fur babies so far. So I would love to have this sweet pup and her parent reunited. Have you tried contacting that Police Station? Is there an intake report? Please let me know what you find out!!!!
