Message from Owner

Missing our sweet girl Gretel. She is spayed but not chipped. Last seen Tuesday night. We believe she escaped the hse either that night or the following morning. We live near the corner of 16th and Greensferry in Post Falls. Gretel is a shy cat, not used to being outside, and likely won't come to a stranger. If you have seen her please let me know! We miss her 😿

Some adfitional tips: Go out late at night when it's quiet and call her. Shake a can of treats or bring stinky food. Also bring a flashlight and look for kitty eyes in bushes. She is pcrobably hiding close by. Put up big, in-your-face fliers with a picture and consider making mini-fliers to place on neighbors' porches. Have neighbors check their outdoor cameras. Check the website of your local animal shelter daily! See if you can leave fliers with vet offices. Praying she comes home soon 🙏

🙏🐈‍⬛Cats don't roam far chances are she's close by hiding in some small space. Open a door window. The garage allow access when she tries to return because she will ! put something outside that smells like home, soiled, laundry, cats, bed ,food. This will help her find her way back. Notify your immediate neighbors personally, NOT everyone is on social media. Ask them to check their yards and garages. Call the local shelter and put in a lost report with picture to post online. Post this on the Nextdoor app to alert more neighbors. Don't give up!!🙌🐈‍⬛

They hide well in tight places and can get stuck. Leave a piece of clothing or dirty towel out on the porch will keep her close to home. No food or litter box as it attracts unwanted guest. Sit outside and talk awhile may bring your cat out of hiding or listen for their cry. Definitely ask your neighbors to check their properties and sheds. If chipped report missing and make sure your informationis current. Post on Nextdoor.com too. Godspeed
