Description

Unspayed female cat, skinny, young, around a year old, white with black markings on face and back, yellow eyes, had at least 5 kittens about a week ago under my shed.

She’s being well taken care of by me at the moment. She gets soft kitten food twice a day to help her with nursing the kittens as well as solid food. Shes a little skittish, but she has been going into a kennel I had fully. Shes quite familiar with me and will come to me when called. I can’t reach her kittens yet and they are just barely opening her eyes and are only barely crawling.

Please contact DFW Feral Cat Rescue; they may be able to help you. The momma will go into heat any day now and be pregnant within a month while still nursing. Usually the mommas move kittens with 1-2 weeks of birth so be on lookout for that. Try to get those kittens before she moves them - maybe get a fishing net under shed and get them into a confined space and it should be easy to get momma too....She's not lost, she was probably dumped...All rescues and shelters are full to over flowing but as you are in Denton County, contact the sheriffs office for animal control and perhaps you can get them once caught into the Denton shelter.
