Beautiful mini panther Some tips I’ve gathered. I heard Al at Pet Searchers Canada often has success finding missing pets. http://www.petsearcherscanada.com/tips-to-help-find-your-lost-pet/ Vokra is an excellent cat rescue organization https://www.vokra.ca/lost-cat How to Find your cat Also check Laps Langley, Katie’s Place Maple Ridge and SARC surrey shelters. Cover your area with posters and offer a reward Share on areas Facebook pages in wider and wider area and dog groups in your area so hopefully someone walking their dog sees it. Knock on doors as many as possible and don’t stop as many get locked in sheds and garages this time of year. walk around your home and area barefoot with feet not washed at least a few hours. This may sound gross but a pet tracker told my friend to pee in a spray bottle and spray on ground and on low parts and under bushes from area where seen all the way home. Animals recognize each other by smell and recognize their owners smell too. Worth a try. You can add an extra trail with pieces of cut up socks (smellier the better - not clean socks). Put up big posters posters in area on big fluorescent pink and green project boards about 50 cents each from dollar store - write in bold marker - so drivers going by will also see she may have gone into someone's backyard or picked up by someone - check SARC, and all other rescues like Laps, Katie’s place and also check with local vets in case someone brought her in to them. Please try to leave a SCENT TRAIL for your dog to follow back home using a familiar vehicle/blanket/toys/kennel/crate, your clothing, etc. left at the last sighted spot Notify neighbours and ask if they have surveillance they can check for you. Check other groups/pages (see link below), and craigslist and kijji ads More INFO. post link: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10162084554545405&set=gm.910323209145979&type=3&theater&ifg=1 (This has all the information you need to know for area shelters / 24 hour emergency vets/ search tips / and other groups and pages you need to network on) hoping your pet is found safe. Animals recognize their humans by scent - spread your scent every way you can including walking around barefoot - feet that have not just been washed. Don’t give up one friend found theirs 2 months later skinny and afraid living under someone’s porch not far away. Many dogs and cats are found even weeks or months later after surviving alone - sometimes spotted here and there sometimes not. Don’t give up. I used to let my cats outside until one disappeared. My vet said most don’t live long if they go out as there are so many dangers between coyotes, dogs, cars, and rat poison that people put out under porches and around sheds - and then there are people that will take pretty cats, and others that are cruel and will harm them. Not long ago I saw a coyote at 3 in afternoon crossing the road in walnut grove, Langley. The vet said they come to city and suburban areas because cats are easy pickings Now I just take out in a harness and leash to the yard or nearby park and add a longer rope to leash so they can look around. I want to build a catio there are such nice ones online for balconies or patios or yards. Good luck don’t give up - a neighbor where I used to live found their pet 9 months later
