While I was rescuing a frog that made its way into my pool, the cat ran off. I have not seen it since.

Thank you for caring! this cat may be indoor/outdoor & the owner allows it outside. If it’s in good condition, then it most likely belongs to one of your close neighbors (within a 5-block radius). If you’re concerned about it, then the best plan of action is for you to print off some flyers from your computer, if possible, & start knocking on doors within a 5-block radius of your house. If someone isn’t home, then stick a flyer in their front door. Put your phone number on the flyer & ask the owner to text you if it’s their cat. The cat has been visiting you & before you intervene further, you want to know if it belongs to someone.
