Jaxon is a Snowshoe Siamese with white feet, chin and chest, with longish hair.. He is very shy. He came from Grants Pass, Oregon, so if he has a chip, it may be registered there. He keeps being listed as being lost in Queens New York and Eugene, OR, but he is in Hazel Dell, Washington State.

Message from Owner

We are missing our gentle and sweet boy! He does go outdoors and likes to hunt for mice, but returns the same day. He has never been gone this long! He prefers to stay indoors, most of the time. I don't use Facebook or Nextdoor. We are praying that he is found! The post says we are in Lake Shore, but we live in Hazel Dell. 98686

Hire a pet tracker ASAP - See below Leave sardines and also something from the cat like a blanket and/or litter box outside the door. Use a flashlight at night, dusk or dawn to see the shiny cat’s eyes. Sometimes people keep cats without looking for the owner. Go door to door, including in apartments and other neighborhood houses and buildings.Talk to apartment supers. Put signs on every door and talk to everyone. Put up Large eye-catching color cardboard poster signs with a large picture of your cat and big writing at intersections. Sometimes cats can seek shelter in bats and garages then get trapped inside. Cats hide in silence and hide very well so supers and home owners may not even know they are there. Cats may respond if you meow to them, but may not respond by calling their name because they are scared and instinctively will stay silent. Additionally, post on neighborhood social media pages. Did you try the kitty litter trick? Take some litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You can also try a stinky can of sardines! Or if kitty is a cuddler, try putting an article of your clothing by your door. And put out a large bowl of water! Also check area garages, under car hoods, shelters, Nextdoor and Pawboost for found kitties in and near your zip. Don’t give up. And post flyers around your neighborhood. Good luck!

They usually don’t venture far. It’s probably scared & hiding near by in bushes or an open garage. Most kitties will stay put in their safe hiding spot. ( if they’re not fixed they can wonder further, depends on circumstances) Ask your neighbors to check their sheds, decks, garages. They usually venture out at night after 24-48hrs when they start getting hungry. The “witching” hour when they come out is 3am. You’ll have to put other pets away and open door or window around 2:30am. If you see your pet, don’t try to grab it, it’s still on survival mode and will run. Just sit down maybe with some treats and let your pet come to you. (Remember, never put the litterbox outside. Other cats will mark it & scare your cat away. Just in case, also set some humane traps near by, hide them in the bushes where your pet might hide. Good luck & don’t lose hope. Pray to St Anthony, he hasn’t let me down. 🙏🏻🐾
