Sheri Swensen Sorry, I haven't seen anything. The cat I am feeding looks a lot like your cat but he does not have the split on the ear and the mustache. He's a nice cat and needs a home. I have found using the Next Door App hard to use when trying to communicate with trying to receive messages. Can see lots of comments but not the PM's, sorry.

I hope you are reading your comments posted here. As of October 12, 2026 I have been feeding a cat that looks very much like your cat, Cheddar. I live in Carowoods Community just across Hwy 160 outside of Tega Cay off Goldhill Rd. This cat is so lost and wants to be back home. When I called him Cheddar he just melted and let me pet him. Please message me so I can give you my info so you can see if this is your cat. I can't bring him inside because I have two male cats and two female cats and I don't want cat fights. I want this fellow to find his home. He's been around this area for a long time. I can tell he came from a loving family.

Is he an indoor only kitty? If so, setting a humane trap in your yard near where he escaped is tour best bet for recovering him. Bait with Mackerel and tuna or Sardines. Cover the trap with a towel leaving the entry uncovered and unobstructed. Monitor trap closely from a window inside your home and don't leave trap unattended. When caught bring the trap into your home before releasing your kitty.

Put out some worn clothing and some smelly tuna on your porch. Notify all your neighbors he is missing and ask them to check under their decks, house and in their garage and any outbuildings they might have. Put up posters with his picture and your phone number around your neighborhood. Posters work. Lots of people have found their cats because neighbors saw their posters. You might also want to go out and look after dark with a flashlight. They typically don’t stray too far from home.
