Bagheera has always been an outdoor cat, he is 8 years old and the neighbourhood mouser. Our kids are missing him terribly and we are worried he may have been picked up because he’s friendly or injured by a wild animal.

I sent an email, im in the Johnson and Grove area, seeing a black male cat last 2 weeks, sniffing around my kitten, so im leaving food out for him, but he spooks whenever I come near him..

Janet Storey first off—you are a cruel jerk. Second, barn cats are impossible to keep inside when adopted to a traditional home. EIGHT YEARS fed and vetted and loved is not letting him down—treating families who rescue animals with needs that are not strictly “cuddly indoor pet” is such a close-minded viewpoint. YOU are letting down animals when you decide that those with the specific designation “indoors only” are the only ones worth your time. Grow up.

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for him. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

I recommend you look in close neighbours outbuildings we found ours in backyard neighbor RV- they had looked but he hid we found him 3 days later he was fine but I hate to think if we hadn’t. Just have a flyer with you and kindly ask to have a quick look so you can call out to him as cats frequently hide when frightened. I hope kitty is home 🔜 🙏2 cats found by their owners recently one in a garage and other in a shed. At neighbors 👍boots on the ground look every bush. Up trees and under decks keep access open to home
