Post your baby on the Nextdoor app. It covers Aurora and there are always lots of lost and found. Good luck and I hope your baby comes home. Beautiful eyes.

I'm only a few blocks from you (Montview/Paris). I feed a large group of cats living in the empty place next door to me. I often see various cats turning up for just a day or two. I'll look out for him.

Check with people who feed strays they may have seen your baby around. I noticed that there are a lot of cats missing lately. If there's an area near you that has mice, start there. Mice are active right now. Cats usually don't go very far. Have neighbors check sheds, garages, anyplace small that they can crawl into. The best times to look are from dusk to dawn. Believe it or not. Putting an empty cardboard box out where you saw him/her go might lure him/her out. If your cat's into boxes anyway. Not the cat box. An empty box. Some of this info might help. Go to shelters in person. Our neighbors witnessed my pet being picked up by them here. Five days, they told us he wasn't there. We found him in their clinic. Check there, too. They might try to say no. Be insistent. If your pet is missing, you should also check re-homing and for sale pages, including Marketplace and local newspapers, rescues, and Craigs-list. Many times, people get the gender of the pet wrong. Please always check in person. Please make all your posts Public. If chipped, then contact your chip company. Make sure the information is current and report the pet missing. If you decide to use Paw boost, check your emails daily, especially if your pet is lost for a long time. And please add a phone number. Pets have been found and not able to return home because all that is found of old posts is Paw boost with no information and emails are being ignored. 😥 One of the most important things you can do is file missing reports with police, Humane Society, Shelters, and your chip company. Without a police report, your pet could end up legally adopted out to someone else. Do that immediately. Please click the three dots upper right and edit to add the closest cross streets, city, state, and date of disappearance if that information isn't already there. It can be shared to Truckers, traveling through there. The city and state especially are very important for those of us who do Google and FB searches for pets. If the owner walks around too far, then their scent can confuse the pet. It's best for the owner to stay close to one area and have others walk a larger area. Favorite squeaky toy might help, but use it sparingly. It might also attract other dogs, so be careful. 💝🌹👍 Please do not leave food and a cat box outside. It can attract other cats and predators that block your pet from coming home. If you do put food out, make certain you are close by, and bring it in at night. Cat boxes have been known to attract every stray in the area, including dogs. It is also a good idea to speak to people in the neighborhood who feed strays. Your cat may be among them and possibly be inside the house. No, I'm not suggesting theft. It's possible that it it was having problems with the actual strays and brought inside to keep it away from the others. Owners look for their pets at local Shelters and Humane Society if you haven't already. Please call them to let them know you have the pet. Also, pet shops, groomers, and vets might recognize them. So might the mail carrier. You should contact them as well. Fliers could help and so could knocking on doors. A vet will scan for chip for free. If you see your pet, don't chase her/him. then sit down quietly, don't look at him, just watch him with corner of your eyes. Make sure to bring a box/bag of treats and a can of wet food. Sit down on the ground. Open the wet food when he/she's within hearing distance and lay it down in front of you on the ground. Favorite toy. Bring it. Make sure he sees it, but if it squeaks, don't squeak it often. Once or twice, then lay it down in front of you. Just to grab attention so they see you. Smelly food like a rotisserie chicken might work better, and YouTube has videos of the sound of a food can opening. You can use that instead. Don't make any suddenly moves. It might scare him. Not everyone has internet, and some ppl are not on Facebook. Join other sites like nextdoor, Ring, etc... if they are on FB, they may check other lost and found groups. Check Craigs-list. The Ring app is really good, too! 👍 A quick way to check groups is to click on the pictures link on the homepage. It can save time. 😁👍 Also, thoroughly research these pet finders please. Not all of them are legitimate businesses. Their motives may not be good. I'm adding this Aug. 2, 2026 because I recently researched one that doesn't exist in a Google business search, except on FB. Their page was created on July 16th, 2026. 17 days ago. A simple solution is to ask for the business license number. You can research those on the Secretary of State site. Business licences are a requirement. Do not answer messages offering a code. Especially don't go to i n s t a or other sites, and research area codes of people who want you to call them. [KL] I'm so sorry about your missing kitty, but cats are great survivors, and most lost pets do survive, so try to stay positive. I'm involved with lost pet rescue, and I'd like to share some information with you. Firstly, please don't respond to anyone posting about pet trackers that you contact on instagram. They are scammers! Just so you know, I respond to hundreds of lost & found pet postings every month, so I can't customize these for everyone. If you've done some or all of these things already, great! Put some water and food outside, especially some stronger smelling canned food or tuna, preferably inside of a fenced area and in view of a security camera, if possible. Sometimes, lost kitties will come back at night and eat. You can also put food and water inside a garage, leaving a door cracked, but be careful. Some other critters and undesirable people could get in. You can also set up a remote camera, and if you see your cat, then you can go out and wait for your kitty to show up again another night. Inside kitties who get lost usually don't go far, but can go into hiding, especially if they are already skittish or traumatized, or they can get accidentally get locked into neighbor's sheds and garages. Walk the area, especially early morning or at night when it's quiet out and call for your kitties, maybe shaking a box of your kitty's favorite treats, then just stop and listen for an answer. Even if very verbal, sometimes lost and injured kitties are too scared to answer, which is a survival Instinct, but if it's quiet out, they may. Because cats are allowed to roam in most of Colorado, most people don't pay attention to kitties on the loose, so be sure to hand out flyers to all of your neighbors within at least 2-3 blocks, and put up large neon posters at every major intersection in your neighborhood. Also, post on other social media lost and found pet websites, and neighborhood social media sites, and check with animal control, vets, and shelters in your area. Use pictures of your kitty standing up to show coloration, coat patterns, and markings. It may become necessary to set a live trap with the assistance of a lost pet rescue, but you need confirmed sightings. Let me know if you need help with this. If your kitty is allowed to roam, please consider keeping it indoors when it returns home. You can even build or buy a catio to give to your kitty safe exposure to the outside. For the last 50 years, all my indoor kitties have lived happy, healthy, and long lives. There are so many things that can happen to a roaming cat, including being hit by a car, wild predators, poisons, being trapped someplace, and being victims of very evil people. It only takes one time! They can also be a real nuisance to neighbors and their pets, and contribute to the feral cat population problem, especially if they are not neutered or spayed. The average lifespan of a roaming cat is only about 5 years. Please don't give up! About 75% of lost pets are found, and the reason most of the others are not is because the families just stop looking. Hope this info helps you get your kitty home safe and sound. Please go out at night after traffic noise has down, shine flash light under bushes and things cat can hide under and also in trees. Check out any green spots looking back at you. Call cat and wait for a meow back. CRITICAL INCASE CAT IS TRAPPED SOMEWHERE; start from where cat went missing and workout for a radius of 2 miles, knock on doors and ask in person if they will check sheds, garages, window wells, and other outside buildings for cat. ALSO, put cats bed or an old pair of your tennis shoes to help cat know where your porch is. NOT, a litter box that will attract other animals that may keep your cat away. Scared cats usually don't travel far from where they go missing and will wait for YOU to come find them. Also stop by local shelters and rescues everyother day to see if cat has been. turned in. GOOD LUCK
