Message from Owner

Lost Cockatiel 18 October, 2026 Name: Aubin (Oh-bun) Nickname: Ube, Ooba Wooba White Pied Pearl Cockatiel 4 Years Old Last known location: Park Santiago Neighborhood area Has a short front right talon. One grey "eyebrow" above her right eye. Yells in a D D# tune typically. Likes rice, millet, seeds, oat stalks, scrunchies/shiny things. Reward available upon safe return to us! She could still be in my neighborhood or the winds could have taken her around the areas of Floral Park, French Park, Portola Park, Fairhaven Cemetery etc. 1-2 miles radius could be 3, I hope not more... If you hear her yelling and she is reachable, you can possibly coax her with food. If you can grab her, use BOTH hands and a large cloth (NO WHITE CLOTHS) and hold on tightly because she will try to escape. She will yell, she won't bite hard. She can be skittish, but she is friendly. Place her in a box and call us immediately. Please help us get her back home safely. Call at number listed and/or contact through PawBoost I know it's going to rain this upcoming week, so she honestly might get heavy from the water and land close enough to grab. Please, please please grab with BOTH hands and use a cloth. DO NOT USE A WHITE CLOTH. Take her inside, put her in a box. Call us as soon as you have her. Please. I have a QR code attached that directs to an mp3 file of her singing and then her yelling at the end as she takes flight after her song. If the QR code is not scanning, URL is listed. More sounds are listed around other posts! My mom thought she was in my room with me while I was getting ready for work, but she was hanging out in the living room instead. She loves my mom's big white hair and went after her to nestle in, but unfortunately, my mom opened the third backyard door (1. Heavy mesh curtain, 2. Glass sliding door, 3. Mesh sliding screen) without closing the curtain and she flew right out. We thought she would've stopped in our backyard, but my sister and dad said she went above our hse to the front, got scared again, and flew back over the back of our hse. All we knew and saw was her heading over E 19th and through E 20th in a straight line. Please help us get our sweet girl back home. Please. Thank you.

Your parrot is vulnerable outdoors and likely hasn’t flown far. Here’s clear, step-by-step advice to maximize recovery chances: • Search persistently on foot: Stay out as long as needed, covering your neighborhood thoroughly. Birds will go quiet at dark, but will stay put as their eyesight is terrible in the dark. You must take advantage of daylight hours. • Use sounds to locate: Play familiar calls or YouTube videos of sharp, distinctive flock calls loudly via Bluetooth speaker or phone. Listen for responses. if within earshot, your bird will very likely respond. This can often be a cheat code for finding lost birds as they are easier to locate by sound opposed to sight. • Watch for signs: Look for agitated crows, magpies, or other birds; this may indicate your parrot is nearby. • Spread the word: Notify neighbors door-to-door. Create and put up eye-catching posters everywhere (include photo, description, contact info). Post in local Facebook groups and community apps. Posters are crucial. Most escapes end up stuck up in a tree, unable to descend due to lack of flight experience. • If spotted: Never take your eyes off your bird. Stay patient and persistent; it will come down with time and coaxing (use food, toys, or calls). • Be diligent: A vast majority of domesticated escapees don’t survive without help. Starvation, freezing, or predators are common. Your efforts are their lifeline. Play this one. It’s loud, distinct, and on loop. https://youtu.be/pYOOyOkFg7Y
