Rehomed

Note from finder: The female mastiff found on Lougeay Road on October 21 is safe and staying with a fully trusted pet sitter, where she is the only pet and is now under veterinary supervision. We are still seeking her owner, and I remain the point of contact. Proof of ownership is required, and her caregiver’s identity and location will remain private. If information suggests she was abandoned rather than lost, missing, or stolen, I will contact a humane officer for further direction. There will be no negotiation on the involvement of humane officers if an owner comes forward at this point.

Sable kennel works with animal control. Maybe try calling them since AC isn’t picking up

You could try calling veterinarians in your area to see if anyone posted a missing dog. I found a Rottweiler a few yrs back and called our vet’s office and sure enough someone put a flyer up there for a missing. She’s beautiful.

Thank YOU for trying to help her! It breaks my heart to think of how many people had to have driven past her and not one person said hm maybe I should call someone to help at least? 😭 But what matters is that today, she is safe. She has a backyard with sunshine and a dog bed inside out of the cold for as long as she needs it. ❤️

Stephanie Anderson I saw this dog on Lougeay Rd. at 7:40am on 10/21. It ran away when I tried to get close. Thank you for taking her in. I am hoping she wasn’t dumped there.

No worries there, I just called the cops to help me get her into my car. I'm a vet tech and I know how terrified she was and she would not have thrived getting put into a shelter. The difference 24 hours makes is clear, though. This is a wonderful girl and whoever let her get away? Let's hope she is reunited. If someone dumped her? She fell into the right hands because she'll never know what it feels like to feel starving ever again. They will get theirs.

Susan Orth if the police take her she will go directly to Hoffman’s. There is no way to stop that unless she’s chipped and police contact owner.
