This cat means so much to me. He is a rescue that I got on my birthday 4 years ago. He is an incredibly smart, loving cat.

🚨 Put a dish, not a can of fishy wet food or tuna outside near the escape area, put a minicamera pointing at the food dish to observe from your device what animals go up to the food, if you see your cat, later, or the next night, after 11 pm-4 am, set up a humane trap (HavaHart) . Put the food inside, and the minicamera attached to the ceiling of the trap, pointing down at an angle so you can see what animals go inside, cover it with a towel that smells like home. You can rent a humane trap at You can borrow or rent humane live-animal traps (such as Havahart traps) for community and feral cats through the San Diego Humane Society via their nearby North County campuses.Nearby Humane Trap ResourcesSan Diego Humane Society – Oceanside Campus (Cats & Small Pets)4.6(628)Animal shelterOceanside, CACallDirectionsWebsiteAddress: 572 Airport Rd, Oceanside, CADetails: Offers humane trap rentals through their Community Cat Program for a $125.00 refundable deposit.Phone: 619-299-7012 (ext. 2000)San Diego Humane Society – Escondido Campus4.5(830)Animal shelterEscondido, CACallDirectionsWebsiteAddress: 3500 Burnet Dr, Escondido, CADetails: Also provides community cat trap rentals and training under the same $125.00 refundable deposit structure.Phone: 619-299-7012 (ext. 2737) Harbor Freight - Oceanside4.5(516)Hardware storeClosedOceanside, CACallDirectionsWebsiteLocation: 316 N Horne St, Oceanside, CAProximity: This is the closest location to Carlsbad, just a short drive north up the I-5 or Coast Highway.Stock: They regularly inventory budget-friendly, medium, and large live-animal cage traps (often sold under their "One-Stop Gardens" brand) that work identically to Havahart traps.Harbor Freight - San Marcos4.7(139)Hardware storeClosedSan Marcos, CACallDirectionsWebsiteLocation: 170 Knoll Rd, San Marcos, CAProximity: Convenient if you are closer to Southeast Carlsbad or the La Costa area, located just off the CA-78 East.Harbor Freight - Escondido4.5(1.0K)Hardware storeClosedEscondido, CACallDirectionsWebsiteLocation: 879 N Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CAProximity: Further inland, but a highly stocked alternative if the coastal locations run out of traps.Closest Tractor Supply OptionsIf your heart is set on Tractor Supply Co. for official Havahart brand gear, you will have to drive further inland:Tractor Supply Co. – Valley Center4.3(200)Animal feed storeClosedValley Center, CACallDirectionsWebsite27444 Valley Center Rd, Valley Center, CA (~45-minute drive northeast).Tractor Supply Co. – Ramona4.4(408)Animal feed storeClosedRamona, CACallDirectionsWebsite203 Hunter St, Ramona, CA (~50-minute drive east).Other Immediate Carlsbad AlternativesIf you want a genuine Havahart trap without driving out of town, you can also check stock at the Home Depot (located at 5755 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad) or Lowe's Home Improvement (located at 1495 Genesee Ave or up in Oceanside), as both corporate home improvement centers consistently carry live animal traps in their pest control or garden aisles. Wyze Cam v4: One of the most popular and affordable options for under $35. It is a tiny cube camera with an IP65 weatherproof rating, color night vision, and two-way audio. You can fasten it magnetically or zip-tie it securely to the top ceiling of the trap. It connects via Wi-Fi.TP-Link Tapo C113 (2K): Priced around $25, this mini bullet camera is compact enough to easily wire or strap to a humane trap's interior. It features 2K resolution, clear IR night vision, and supports local MicroSD storage so you don't require a monthly subscription.Blink Outdoor 4: Priced around $60, this is a fully wireless, battery-operated camera. Because it requires no cords, it's very easy to position inside a larger humane box trap or strap to a tree facing the trap entrance. How to Fasten the CameraZip ties / Cable ties: The easiest method is to run heavy-duty zip ties through the mounting bracket (or the camera's base) and weave them tightly through the wire mesh at the top of the humane trap.Heavy-duty magnets: Both the Wyze Cams and some trail cameras come with strong magnetic bases. You can attach a metal plate to the top of your trap, allowing the camera to snap right into place.Positioning: Point the camera downward so you can observe both the cat food (the bait) and the animal's face as it approaches, helping you identify if it's the target cat, a raccoon, or another skittish animal.Helpful TipsNight Vision Check: Make sure to turn on night vision or IR mode, as most stray and wild animals will approach the food at night.Wi-Fi Strength: Before you leave the trap, test your home Wi-Fi connection right next to the trap to ensure the live feed loads without delay. Blink minicams are available, both minicameras are available on Amazon or Walmart

❗ Please do this Search your property thoroughly, look in crawl spaces, in, under, behind your shed, under the porch, under the house, under the deck. Post on Nextdoor in Cat Owner's group, and in Lost and Found Pets group, post on Neighbors app, they're both good resources to notify the community you don't need a Ring camera to post on Neighbors. Petcolovelost 24Petconnect are good sources to search and post on, too, they also offer free flyers for download. Many animal shelters and animal control services post their animals on Pawboost Petcolovelost and 24PETCONNECT, but don't rely on online, go into the shelter a couple of times a week to look through the cages, bring proof of ownership; Pictures, most recent vet bills

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.
