Description

She’s a shorthair cat who’s really affectionate with people but terrified of loud noises and cars. She’s very vocal, has a collar with a moon charm that has her name “Luna” on it and my old number with a bell attached to the collar as well. She’s grey with brown/white pigmentations.

Message from Owner

Can anyone with information please contact my email!! I’ve had Luna for 5 years now, she will be 6 in July. She’s never been gone before and she gets really anxious when she doesn’t know her environment as well as loud noises such as cars. She’s always been in my room with her sister or with me. She’s really attached to her sister and came paired with her when I first adopted her. She had gotten out when I was in class, my dad wasn’t able to bring her back inside before I got home. I just want my babygirl back and to know she’s okay :/ thank you!

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers. I hope you get her before the fire works start.

Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 😉
