On Honey's Nextdoor post the owner says she's been found and is home! (I've asked her to update all of her posts) https://nextdoor.com/p/tYPx-FX-NJ45?utm_source=share&extras=NDg5NjgwNzc%3D&utm_campaign=1790324154966&share_action_id=b9bcd5b8-942b-4112-9ddf-66462af17111

The Do’s and Don’ts of Finding Your Lost Dog In order to avoid mistakes that could make the difference between finding your lost dog and never seeing him again, follow these do’s and don’ts. Do: * Wait patiently at the scene for as long as possible. Stay put so your dog can come back following your scent. “Let the dog come back to you.” * When you must go home, take a dirty sock, t-shirt, or underwear that has been close to your skin and place them outside of your home. This is another scent lure. * Set up a “meat trap” using odorous meats. This is done based on investigative work. For example, after a neighbor saw your dog running up a hill, the meat and water would be placed at the foot of the hill. * Broadcast that your dog is missing using social media, posters, and word of mouth. Ask people to report sightings rather than attempt to retrieve your dog. She will be frightened and run away again. * Use sighting reports to use scent-based lures like clothing or food. * Leave doors open so that your dog has a way to get inside when they return home. Do Not: * Leave the scene and start searching for your dog. You are spreading your scent and making it more difficult for your dog to come back to you. * Close up your house so your dog has no way of coming inside when they return. * Chase your dog or yell their name. This will only drive them further away. Babs Fry is a dog hero! She’s been recognized all over the U.S. Her work has made it possible to have hundreds of happy endings to dog disappearances. If your dog gets loose or spooked, follow her tips to bring your beloved dog home. Check out her website: awayhomefordogs.com 🙏🙏🙏 for your fur baby’s safe return home.

It's a fact that many lost pups end up close to home. Especially sweet, cute ones as people take them in. Walk your neighborhood for 3-4 blocks, knock on doors and leave pix. Call her name as you walk and she may answer from a yard. Hang flyers offering a reward and post on social networking sites including NextDoor, Ring and Pawboost. Leave an item of clothing or a shoe outside your house to guide your girl home. Leave flyers with local police and fire houses, groomers, doggy daycares, pet stores and your mail carrier since they see everything. Visit vets and leave photos. Someone may bring her in to be chip checked or for a wellness check. If you can, hire a helicopter ride and/or a drone to search from above. Reach out to local news (Fox 5) to share your pup. If she was picked up she is probably at animal foundation so go there NOW and to other shelters NOW and then daily. Don't wait for them to contact you! Reach out to rescues for help. Prayers for a fast, safe return. ♥️♥️
