Put his litter box outside some of your clothing with your scent on it they could smell that from far away, put out flyers with a reward on it walk your neighborhood at night with a flashlight look in the bushes somebody may have taken him in thinking he was a stray is he fixed or chipped

So sorry. Leave his toys, blanket or any belonging outside. Use Ring app, the door bell and Next door to notify your neighbors. Drive around and put posters out help. Cats sometimes come back after a while. Good luck.
