Tuxedo cat, black and white, very friendly. She went missing the night of a storm. She is spayed but her ear is not clipped.

Message from Owner

This is my sister's cat and she is out of town. The cat sitter and I have been walking the neighborhood and calling her but she would not recognize our voices. If you live in or near the neighborhood please help us look she may have gotten scared with the storm. If you can look in your yard, under your deck etc. I don't want my sister to come home to a missing cat.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

She is indoor / outdoor. She also doesn't really meow she makes a very small sound occasionally. My fear is she got caught in the storm, found shelter, and was accidentally locked in somewhere in the neighborhood.
